Lord Mayors are probably the world’s experts in cutting the first sod of ground on any project, but do any of them ever cut a single sod outside of this official activity? Probably not. In this brief scene, the Lord Mayor of Lurgan gets to make that first important sod cut on a new swimming pool complex and we also get to see a model of what the finished project would look like.
