Description

It's a shame that this intriguing footage is silent but the sense of what is going on is still apparent from what we have - a man attempts to drive a sports car around an onstacle course while blindfolded! The lady testing out the efficacy of the blindbag is identified as Annie Roycroft of the Bangor Spectator (Ireland's first female newspaper editor). The driver himself, meanwhile, was Robert Orr who was Vice Chairman of the Magic Circle.

While the feat seems impressive, it does raise the question of why does Mr Orr requires the windscreen wipers to be on if he can't see through the blindfold?
