Description

Inspired by the whimsical question posed by The Beatles in their song "A Day in the Life," filmmaker Sue Morris embarks on a curious journey through the streets of Derry. While walking, Morris noticed mysterious numbers spray-painted near the city's manhole covers, sparking a fascination that led to this short film. As she documents each numbered manhole, Morris wonders if they hint at a hidden agenda or designs on the city by outside forces.

However, in a twist of everyday reality, the numbers were revealed to be part of a water survey by Northern Ireland Water. The film cleverly blends the mundane with the mysterious, capturing a sense of curiosity that ultimately leads to a very practical truth.
