“I chose the clips I did based on the little monologue about mayflies at the end of the original video [Danger Men At Play by UTV]. I then tried to work backwards to find parallels between the brief life of the mayflies and the lives captured on film. I found the process of exploring the various forms of creative media, from writing poems to spoken words and videos, really inspirational as they would be art forms I wouldn't typically explore and getting that experience was great fun and has given me some more ideas for the future!” Text by Natalie Cole

Over a 5 week programme, a group of participants delved deep into the riches of Ulster Museum’s collection and Northern Ireland Screen’s Digital Film Archive exploring them through the medium of creative writing. Amy McCloy, Holly Fusco, Natalie Cole and Ryan McAllister created new cine-poetry using the Digital Film Archive and digital skills taught by RRR's Digital Engagement Officer Stephen O'Hagan.
