Oliver McGilloway present's McGilloway's Way, a programme which celebrates the dramatic and beautiful landscapes surrounding Ulster. 

This episode is set across Co. Derry, Co. Tyrone and Co. Donegal, exploring the rich wildlife and abundance of flora. Meet Joe, who grows the straw for thatching, a skill taught through generations and which is slowly in decline. Joe chats about the conditions needed before thatching and demonstrates on a house which he regularly keeps thatched.

Later on, McGilloway introduces us to an injured pheasant and though pheasants are common in the countryside, they are not native to Ireland. Venturing a bit further on, woody shrubs are next on the agenda and their history of them being used to mark parish boundaries explained.
