Oliver McGilloway present's McGilloway's Way, a programme which celebrates the dramatic and beautiful landscapes surrounding Ulster.
This episode is set by Lough Swilly, Co.Donegal, with its wide expansive of water, shore lines of rugged cliff and sandy beaches and woodland, this all supporting a flourishing wealth of wildlife. This area is a safe and sheltered place for boats, which McGilloway soon takes advantage off, setting off with a local to explore the various caves which are dotted about the Swilly.
We soon pass a salmon farm, which McGilloway isn't too keen on "it seems very strange to see such a marvellous wild animal, churning about in a cage like this". The owner, describes the salmon as very close to its wild siblings and if let loose would follow the same migration route, however he's "in the farming business" and economically "he produces the salmon as a mechanism to produce high quality protein for human consumption".
