As
Barry McGuigan prepares to challenge Eusebio Pedroza for the World
Featherweight boxing title, this Good Evening Ulster report previews the big
fight. The modest McGuigan talks up the ability of his opponent, while his
manager, Barney Eastwood, asks only that McGuigan is able to put up a good show
against the champion.
Pedroza
from Panama won the title during the 1970s and defended it 19 times, so there's
a tough task ahead of the Clones man. Pedroza is also interviewed at a press
conference. Barry promises to just do his best. In the event, he certainly did
that, and was soon to be crowned Ireland's new world champion.
