Description

In 1998, one in six people in Northern Ireland had some form of disability. But this wasn't reflected by the media of the day. This report details an event hosted to raise awareness of the discrepency and to discuss how the media can more fairly represent disability.

The Conference highlights the misrepresentation of disabled people in the news in particular, and the potential effect this can have on people's conception of disability.
