Description

Minister William Craig is interviewed by William McGookin about the controversy over payment to farmers in Armagh. Stormont wants to buy farming land to build factories and the new city of Craigavon. The farmers believed the payments were too low and protested against the plan. 

Notes

William Craig was a controversial Unionist figure. He was a member of the Unionist party and at the time of this film was Minister of Health and Local Government, but upon being fired by Terence O'Neill formed Ulster Vanguard. He was opposed to reform within Northern Ireland.
