Description

Money Talks with James Kerr and Lesley Black report on another busy week in the business world. In this episode, James and Lesley examine electricity prices and N.I.E. as details on the privatisation plans are published. Over 100 job losses were announced as a local meat plant closed down. The closure of Belfast abattoir (and few others) underlines the need to investigate the future for local beef processors. Lesley Black examines competition issues on Belfast Lough as now two marinas are looking for business.

Finally, Money Talks team looks at the rising costs of higher education and a financial problem of sending teenagers to university as grants, previously available to students, are frozen.
