Description

Lesley Black and James Kerr report on news in the business world in Northern Ireland.

This episode of Money Talks includes a special report on the problems of travel agents hit by cash flow problem following the collapse of big travel agencies. Lesley meets a representative of Strandtown Travel agency to investigate. James Kerr looks at the business of sponsoring ‘The Cutty Sark Tall Ships’ Race 1991’ and examine why this event has already proven successful. Also in this programme, the banks are in the news again with the allegation of not dropping their lending rates in step with the falling base rates resulting in a squeeze on bank landing. Finally, the team look at a childhood dream realised as they sample the delights of a local ice cream factory, Maud’s in Co Antrim.
