Description

This lovely film shows the principal of Outlecken Primary School and her work with her children.

Mrs Agnes McBride, the wife of the local Presbyterian Minister was known for her kindness to the children and, as we can see here, her innovative approach to teaching.

Mrs McBride often knitted clothing for the children and arranged for dinners to be brought to the school by bus. Many of the children relied on this service for a decent meal.

Outlecken Primary School was just outside Newtownhamilton in Armagh.

We are very grateful to Mrs McBride's friends and family for giving us this information.
