Description

Unexploded bombs were still a very common part of life in the UK in the 1960s with landmines, bombs and incendiary devices left over from the Second World War turning up all the time. Beaches were a particular finding spot for mines washing ashore and no chances could be taken. It’s not known where this footage was shot or what the device turned out to be, but it’s clear that someone from the authorities was dispatched to have a look at it before declaring it safe and removing it.
