In this episode of the series, the focus is on questions of global warming and climate change. Looking at the relationship between the earth's atmosphere and the ocean's depths, we meet researchers from Queen's and elsewhere involved in an investigation of the effects of increased carbon dioxide in the atmosphere - the greenhouse effect - and the role of plankton in balancing CO2 levels. We get a close look at the sensitive equipment used by oceanographic researchers and see them at work aboard the good ship Charles Darwin.
