Description

In perhaps the least wittly-titled episode of Natural Selection, we dive into the world of seals, our fishing rivals. This programme suggests we should see seals as an asset and potential source of revenue, rather than as a threat. Focusing on the seals of Stangford Lough and Glengarrif, Co. Cork, we learn about their patterns, personalities and proclivities. Can human and seal ever learn to live together in harmony? Around Bantry, it seems the answer is yes - so how can we learn from this example?

Notes

An Éamon de Buitléar production for UTV. De Buitléar was one of Ireland's best-loved environmentalists, transforming the national consciouness through his pioneering work.
