Description

This UTV footage from 1969 previews a British Championship game between Northern Ireland and England from a golden era of football. Seen clearly in the training footage from the Northern Irish camp are superstars of the time such as George Best, Pat Jennings and Derek Dougan. Meanwhile, there is also behind the scenes footage of the England team training. This was an England team who were the current World Champions and legendary figures such as Bobby Moore, Bobby Charlton and Gordon Banks can all be see being put through their paces. There are also interviews with Derek Dougan, Terry Neill and the Northern Ireland manager, Billy Bingham, as well as his English counterpart, Sir Alf Ramsey. England would end up winning the game 3-1.
