Description

This footage was a preview of the Northern Ireland vs Wales British Championship game in 1969. As well as behind the scenes training footage from both teams there are interviews with Northern Ireland forwards Derek Dougan and Eric McMordie as well as the manager, Billy Bingham, who also talks about the team’s World Cup prospects in an upcoming game against the USSR. Speaking on behalf of the Welsh team is centre forward Ron Davies who was playing club football at the time with Southampton. The game finished in a 0-0 draw.
