Description

On board HMS Tiger, Second-in-Command of the Home Fleet, Captain Michael Pollock presents the captain with a British Empire Medal (BEM). Meanwhile a group of schoolchildren get a very special tour of the ship. 

Notes

HMS Tiger was a conventional cruiser of the British Royal Navy, one of a three-ship class known as the Tiger class. Ordered during World War II, she was completed after its end and later converted to a helicopter and command cruiser. From 2 to 4 December 1966, she hosted talks between Prime Ministers Harold Wilson (UK) and Ian Smith of Rhodesia.
