Description

The candidates for the parliamentary seats at Queen’s University lodge their deposits to stand. We see incumbent MPs Charles Stewart, Bessie McConachie and Sheelagh Murnaghan.

William McGookin talks to Charles Stewart and Bessie McConachie. It’s an interesting conversation on why the issue of abolishing the university seats is important this time round. We also see William’s cutaway questions which helps the start of the interview make more sense.

Within the election office, we see all the candidates and the election official, Professor Newark, with the vote declaration.

The Queen’s University parliamentary seats were abolished in 1969.
