Police Six with Keith Burnside review another busy week for thieves and criminal investigators. A wide range of items changed owners in some well executed (others not so much) robberies across Northern Ireland. First, a burglary in Lurgan where police was left bewildered as they found a crucial bit of evidence, a screwdriver, at the crime scene. This screwdriver, believed to belong to the thief, features initials and a full name on its handle. Is this a clue to the identity of the thief or a trap designed to lead the investigators astray?
Another theft took place in St Patrick's and St Brigid's College in Claudy, County Derry where Archimedes 440 computer was stolen along with a monitor and other equipment. In Ballygowan, several antique bronze statues of athletes were stolen, and some expensive jumpers taken from a shop in Coleraine. Police also appeals for information with regards to a caravan stolen from the Newcastle area as well as a missing pipe threader last seen on the grounds of in Moneyrea Primary School, Carryduff.
