Ian Hendry was one of the rising names in British television and cinema at the time this interview was shot for UTV’s arts series, Preview. As the star of Police Surgeon and then The Avengers, as well as a number of very well regarded performances in one-off television plays, Hendry was a familiar face to viewers. Having left The Avengers, his place taken over by Honor Blackman, he was already carving out a career as a movie star. He was in Belfast for a charity cinema screening, with several other actors appearing at it also interviewed for Preview.
