Description

As part of a five day visit to Northern Ireland in April 1962, Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother attended Queen’s University Belfast to formally open the new Physics wing. The Prime Minister of Northern Ireland, Lord Brookeborough, is also seen in attendance. Much of the material is mute but the sound of the Queen Mother’s speech has survived.
