Candy Devine presents Rejoice, a programme which incorporates biblical themes into music. This episode focuses on the topic of 'time' and how it marks our lives
The first performance is by Crossfire who sing about freedom. Candy explains that we are all in some form or another "slaves to time" while asking us "how many times a day do you look at your watch?". Next up is quirky quartet in bow-ties, 5-1, who perform 'Grandfather's Clock'.
A biblical passage about Jesus and the weather is read aloud with children's drawings illustrating the story. Rodney Cordner follows with 'The Bride' which at first hearing is about a girl "left in the lurch", but has a deeper theme, on how Christians can sometimes look foolish to others by not taking up the values of todays world.
Ending the programme is David Hamilton, an ex-paramilitary who served time twice, he speaks about how he found the passing of time and his conversion to Christianity.
