In the fourth episode of the series Ronan Kelly heads to the west to Co. Fermanagh.
The first stop on his journey takes him to Florence Court, one of the National Trust’s stately homes. Sitting on a thin covering of snow, Florence Court House getting surveyed and Ronan interviews rope access specialists at work, Pamela and Tim Fogg. Ronan also drops by Tullyhona Guesthouse and meets Rosemary Armstrong who tells a bit more about farmhouse cooking and staying at the B&B. John Farry, a local singer/songwriter shares a tune by the bridge near his hometown, Garrison, just before Ronan visits the Fort Lodge Hotel to meet Enniskillen resident chip expert, Bernie Boylan. Bernie discusses the fish and chip industry and shares some insights into how to make your chip the best chip. At the home of Gordon Johnson, a retired arts teacher and model maker, Ronan get a chance to have a mask made of his face and gets a tour of Gordons amazing models (some also automated) of various people including Pat Cassidy. Ronan’s tour of Fermanagh comes to a close with a song played by Annette Owens on accordion and Fiona O’Loughlin on piano.
