Description

Short film about community group Foyle Sailability - a cross border voluntary organisation, focused on serving the Northwest of Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. The group’s aim is to offer people with disabilities opportunities to sail and engage in other water-based activities, no matter the experience level of the prospective participant. In the short term, Foyle Sailability want to offer people with disabilities the chance to take to the water themselves. In the longer term, the organisation hopes to help interested participants aspire to the highest levels of sailing or water sports.

This film, shot in May 2023, depicts Claire McCarron and others sailing a Hansa 303 out on the River Foyle. The meditative film offers a small glimpse of the opportunities Foyle Sailability offers to participants. More information to be added to this entry.
