1997 saw Ireland hitting the peak of its 'Celtic Tiger' heydey. Dublin became a world city and a fashionable place to be. It seemed a natural choice for the opening of a new branch of Planet Hollywood - a joint venture between Hollywood A-listers, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone. Frank Mitchell was there for the opening which had all the glitz and glamour of a film premiere. Celebrities such as Wesley Snipes, Mike Myers and Lisa Stansfield paraded the red carpet. Jeremy Irons led an impromptu singalong of Dublin's most famous song, "Molly Malone", and Bob Geldof staged a concert.
Mitchell manages to interview Stallone and Schwarzenegger. Arnie shares memories of Belfast from his bodybuilding days. Schwarzenegger was a friend of Ivan Dunbar, the head of the Irish Bodybuilding Federation. Dunbar hosted bodybuilding competions at the city's Park Avenue Hotel. Schwarzenegger, who was Mr Universe at the time, attended and performed his strongman act. Schwarzenegger also trained at Dunbar's gym in East Belfast.
