Notes

Samuel Bracegirdle was an amateur filmmaker from Belfast, his work dates from the 1950s to the 1970s. Many of his films show his home life and holidays with family and friends. He also took an interest in local history and Unionist heritage.

Walker's Pillar was a monument to Reverand George Walker, who came to Derry before the seige of Derry, and was an inspiration to the people of the town during the seige. The monument was constructed in 1828, and contained 105 steps, to represent the 105 day seige. The statue was destroyed by a bomb in 1973, the pedestal still remains.
