Presenter Lynda Jayne gives viewers a look into the life of country music star, Daniel O'Donnell, with a series of interviews with family and fans.
Beginning in central London, on the evening of his sold-out London Palladium concert, Daniel gives us a glimpse backstage at his pre-show routine. The Underdown family from Kent gush about their favourite artist, with mother, Vivian, saying that 'we don't drink, we don't smoke, we don't go on holidays as such, I'd rather go to Daniel's shows'.
Philip King, Irish music historian, explains why he believes O'Donnell is such a success. King credits the well-known songs that O'Donnell sings, they are tried-and-tested and the public recognise them when played on the radio. Also featured, Loretta Flynn, or "Daniel's third arm" who speaks about a family she met from Liverpool who came to every one of his USA shows.
Visting O'Donnell's hometown, Kincasslagh, in County Donegal, O'Donnell explains what Donegal means to him - his ongoing love and support for the town evident in his recently opened hotel, which provides Kincasslagh with needed employment.
Also appearing, Mrs Julia O'Donnell and Fr. Brian D'Arcy.
