At Portballintrae, in summer 1935, the Campbell family enjoys the delightful location. A small child crawls on its belly along the sand while the children enjoy the perennial pleasures of buckets and spades on a white-sand beach, wading out into the shallow water and enjoying the idyllic summer day. At the start of the clip Gary is sitting on his grandfather McConnell's knee but the film is under-exposed and details are hard to make out.
The film was probably shot by John Dermot Campbell and it is part of the Campbell Family Collection.
