Description

Angelo Fusco remembers his family's Italian ice cream business in Belfast and how the Troubles affected it, as well as the joy of holidays to visit relatives in Italy. This clip appeared in Series 1, Programme 2 of Super 8 Stories.

Notes

Angelo Fusco was involved in his family’s ice cream and café business when he bought a Sanyo Super 8 Cine camera to film events as a hobby and “to let my children and their families see the way of life of their forbearers when they watched it back in years to come”. Angelo now has his home movies transferred onto video which he still watches from time to time. “I’ve had many happy evenings remembering bygone days. Knowing that they are personal memories, some are sad, but most of them are happy”.
