Road racing is a sport which has always thrived in Northern Ireland and the Ulster Grand Prix at Dundrod has always been one of the most events in its calendar. This important amateur roadside footage shot by spectators and keen followers of the sport in the 1960s helps bring back to life the glory days of the race. Interviews with brothers David and John Elder, who watched from the hedges, and one of the top riders from the time, Tommy Robb, help to explain the passion people hold for this particular discipline of bike racing. This clip appeared in Series 3, Programme 3 of 'Super 8 Stories'.
