Description

Students working hard? What’s going on? Ciaran McKeown, a student activist, explains to Brian Baird that this campaign is designed to be different and to bring awareness of the lack of support for overseas students. It is a deliberate move away from placard waving protests and showing the idea of protest in a positive light.

Ciaran McKeown was part of the wave of young Catholics attending Queen’s in the 1960s that would go on to make an impact elsewhere. He became a journalist for the Irish Times and then part of the Peace People movement of the 1970s.
