Belfast singer Teresa Clifford gives a lovely rendition of Banks of the Roses. She also sings the tradition songs, A Maid Goes to Comber (The Next Market Day) and Kitty of Coleraine. Teresa has a beautiful voice and such expression in her singing!
Banks of the Roses dates from the end of the 18th century. Its origins are in Limerick. It is also known as The Banks of the Red Roses.
A Maid Goes to Comber (The Next Market Day) is another traditional tune as is Kitty of Coleraine, which may date from the end of the 18th century.
