Description

The Belfast Rose of Tralee is crowned at the Ulster Hall. This wasn’t to be her year although next year’s winner would come from Belfast.

Notes

The Rose of Tralee is an annual competition held in KerryThe organisers are keen to stress it is not a beauty pageant but contestants must be under 29 and unmarried. Single mothers were only admitted in 2008. The winner is selected on the basis of personality and is expected to be a good role-model for the festival and ambassador for Ireland during her travels around the world.
