Description

Leslie Dawes visits the ‘Bone Palace’ on the Caledon Estate. A bizarre folly built by Lord Orrery in 1747 supposedly to strike fear into the hearts of the Caledonians, although why it was built on his estate in Tyrone is a mystery. It comprises of 20,000 knuckle bones from 10,000 cattle. How did he find them all? Another mystery – as is the human skull at the end of this clip.
