A look behind the scenes of the Pearl Assurance Games with interviews from participating athletes, agents and TV directors.
Kriss Akabusi, tells viewers that the life of an athlete is a "lot of hanging around airports and hotel rooms" however, an upside is that you get to talk about philosophical questions which "you may not get round to in any other walk of life". Roger Black, who is competing in Belfast for the first time, is complimentary to the set up at the Mary Peter's track stating that "it's actually perfect" due to it sitting in a natural bowl. Another athlete, Stanley Redwine, makes comparisons to the American college system and the club system which exists in Northern Ireland and Britain.
On a bus, you can find Ted Ayling, Television Director, who discusses running order and recording times and on the ground the film process which captures the finish line is shown. The day then begins with some of the competitions shown, but soon it's all over and Mary Peter's herself makes an appearance in the hospitality tent, pleased with how the event went.
