Description

The annual Lord Mayor's Show was an opportunity for businesses, charities and government departments to promote their goods and services. Quaint and eclectic, this footage documents both the breadth of participants and bizarre design of the floats that showcased their wares.

Amongst the floats are those advertising the following; Austin motorcars, Singer sewing machines, Coca Cola, the Milk Marketing Board of Northern Ireland with its Ulster 'Dairy' Queen, the Territorial Army, the agriculture industry, E.T. Green, Erinmore tobacco, Nestlé and Purity pork sausages.
