The opening of the Ashby Building at Queen’s University. Sir Eric Ashby opens the building and gives a speech. He pushes the case for following a career in technology over pure science and urges universities to support it. We also see some of the new technology in the building.
Eric Ashby, Baron Ashby, FRS (24 August 1904 – 22 October 1992) was a British botanist and educator. He was President and Chancellor of Queen’s University 1950-1959.
