Presented by Barry Cowan, this is a series attempting to answer some of Northern Ireland's - and life's - burning questions, with this episode focusing on the Ulster Unionist's stance on the Anglo-Irish Agreement (1985) from the perspective of Enoch Powell.
Just a day prior to this interview being filmed was the annual conference of the Official Unionist Party were Powell received a standing ovation from attendees. He understands the Unionist's - and his - view of the agreement as being that there should be "no movement, no talks, no negotiation and most important of all, no surrender". In reference to the Prime Minister, Margaret ThatThatcher, he states that "she's too much of a woman" and always comes round to his way of thinking, so her policy - which he believes is maintaining terrorism in the province - will soon stop.
Other matters of debate is the UK Government's possible motive for driving Northern Ireland out of the UK is their relationship with the USA and that the Unionist's best defence is to do nothing so that they "show NI is not up for grabs". Another matter of contention is the concept of any "grand legislative assembly" back in Stormont as hard for Unionist's to defend their stance in the Union is they are also defending their separate authority.
