Description

This short film was made February, 1959. At that time Dr McDowell was working in the radiography department at the Staffordshire General Infirmary. In his notes about this reel, Dr McDowell writes that most of the footage was shot "indoors using two Photoflood lights. The film available was relatively slow - Kodachrome Type A. No I with Weston Rating 10. The theme is a not too serious look at what might happen of you were a patient at S.G.I."

The film provides a fascinating insight into life working in the hospital at the time, as well as a look at the workload of the world's youngest doctor, Ian.

Credits

Dr McDowell's excellent notes provide the names of all those in the film. His cast of characters include: Amy Eccleshall; Lila Sargent; Joan Clarkson; Mary Hewitt; Norrys Grice; Irene Austion; Jean Robinson; Janet Bramall; Staff Nurse Dorothy Robson and her husband, Jeff; Mrs. Burton; Mr W. Sayer; Dr McDowell and his son, Ian.
