Description

This silent news report from UTV shows a large number of stamps being applied to parcels to cover the postage costs to Tokyo. Inside the parcels are ties but the purpose of these parcels is unknown. Northern Ireland had several competitors at the “Summer” Olympics in Tokyo, which had taken place between 10 and 24 October, including the young Mary Peters. However, this footage is from five days after the tournament finished.
