Description

Footage of a train journey along the now-defunct Lisburn to Antrim line passing through stations such as Aldergrove, Crumlin, Glenavy and Ballinderry. The line would close to passengers in 1960 but was kept open for freight to help transporting goods across the border to the Republic of Ireland. A passenger service would later reopen (minus the Aldergrove station) but then closed finally in 2003.

Credits

An Ulster Television Production.
