Jimmy Robinson reports from Casement Park on the banning of train travel from the Republic of Ireland. The Northern Ireland government banned travel in an attempt to prevent anyone crossing the border to commemorate the 1916 Easter Rising. Eddie McAteer of the Nationalist Party condemned the move.
At Casement Park, 25000 people were expected to attend a march and commemoration. Rev Ian Paisley intended a counter parade and there was a report of a reformed Ulster Volunteer Force meeting in Pomeroy.
