Ambulance paramedics and auxiliary staff are preparing to strike due to the "immoral" 3% increase in pay, compared to the 4.7% pay rise offered to nurses.
Though reluctant to strike, interviewees such as Dave Prentis, Marie Boyd, David Hope and Patricia McKeown state that it’s an insult to the 15,000 unison health workers in Northern Ireland. This is especially hurtful to the staff, due to the work they have carried out during the troubles, with the money not giving the "the status and recognition" that they so thoroughly deserve.
The concluding plea is for the government to be "fair".
