Description

This is one of a number of short pieces marked as UTV Funnies on the film can. It’s uncertain if these short films were ever broadcast as a piece of light-heartedness on a news or magazine programme or if they were for internal viewing only. Nevertheless, this one shows a UTV staffer coming back after a “liquid lunch” and disposing of a cigarette, which then starts a fire which burns down Havelock House. While the presenters and staff scramble to evacuate, the piano-playing celebrity Tommy James keeps playing, oblivious to all around him!
