Do the locomotion

The BFI has launched Railways on Film, a collection of material that explores the long and intertwined relationship between cinema and railway:

"Our collection travels far and wide, from amateur enthusiasts to the polished work of big studio productions and the official British Transport Films."

Amongst the material are films from Northern Ireland Screen's Digital Film Archive, including footage of the Spoil Train from Belfast, Dalriada and Harbour tours and the last days of steam, as the old locomotives are replaced by diesel trains.
