Rejoice

New to the Digital Film Archive is Rejoice, hosted by UTV favourite, Candy Devine. Not uncommon for the broadcasting house in the past, Rejoice, has a religious focus and incorporates biblical themes, like gratitude and friendship, into music performances from local names such as Crossfire, Gareth Hewitt and Rodney Cordner. 

A show for the whole family, each episode draws on audience participation as viewers send in drawings from their children depicting scenes from biblical passages. Also, incorporated into the programme is a concluding interview with a guest who has keenly felt the theme chosen. This is seen when during the week of 'Hope', John Parker [Chairman of Harland and Wolff] speaks to Candy about his hopes for the future of Northern Ireland's industry and his confidence in our young people despite setbacks.
