The Pictures

‘The Pictures’ is a brand new series of artwork produced as part of University of Atypical’s ‘Accessing Architecture’ programme in collaboration with Northern Ireland Screen and Strand Arts Centre illustrated by visual artist James Ashe. Ashe’s illustrations will transport you through the Strand’s 85 year history, showing you how the building and environment has evolved over time.
‘Accessing Architecture’ is a series of public workshops and talks by the University of Atypical and James Ashe is one of five commissioned artists exploring disability and the built environment. ‘Accessing Architecture’ is funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund Northern Ireland. ‘The Pictures’ project was commissioned by Northern Ireland Screen’s Digital Film Archive in partnership with the Strand Arts Centre.
Join us for the launch with refreshments. If you can’t make it then, the exhibition will run until the end of August.
