Description

This is a Good Evening Ulster report on a press conference held by the middle-ground Alliance Party in Northern Ireland. Their leader John Cushnahan responds to the passing of the Anglo-Irish Agreement through parliament in Westminster and talked about the Alliance position on the forthcoming by-elections caused by the mass resignation of Unionist MPs. He also calls for a round-table talk involving all parties opposed to violence, and accuses the Unionist movement of trying to steer the country towards a declaration of independence.
