Description

An open day at Loughry Agricultural College. The greenhouses are overflowing with flowers and plants. Beautiful poinsettia, cyclamen and daisies put on a lovely display.

Notes

Loughry College was established as The Ulster Dairy School in 1908. Prior to that the land belonged to Mr Fleming who had purchased it from the Lindsey family. The Lindseys had lived on the land since 1632.

Today, Loughry is part of the College of Agriculture, Food and Diary Management and offers a wide range of courses for anyone interested in a career in any of these.
